We have a special love for Home Owner Associations where people are committed to their community. And…wherever you have people in proximity there is bound to be conflict.
Standpoint provides ADR (alternative dispute resolution) for HOAs at many levels: We mediate Board-Resident, Resident-Resident, Contractors-Resident conflicts.
Standpoint also helps HOAs with IDR (Internal Dispute Resolution) helping HOAs be proactive with resolving conflicts, establishing internal peer-to-peer mediation programs and helping boards and residents with compliance. We can facilitate training on conflict resolution and negotiation techniques and skills. We also provide mediation training as well as educational offerings on generational challenges and personality styles.
Our team consists of a former board member of an HOA, a real estate broker, and a teaching instructor who has designed multiple courses on conflict, negotiation, and mediation as well as creativity. We also have logged thousands of hours of actual mediations: court-ordered small claims cases, community disputes, probate mediations, foreclosure settlements, elder issues, and public sector conflicts between citizens and city, law enforcement, and federal agencies. We strongly believe conflict creates opportunity for dialogue, better connections, strong communities, and self advocacy.
